In light of heightened travel activity during the current peak season, Minister of Civil Aviation Dr. Sameh Hefny carried out an unannounced inspection tour of Terminal 3 at Cairo International Airport. The visit is part of the Minister’s ongoing field tours across Egyptian airports, aimed at ensuring operational efficiency and maintaining high service standards for travelers.

The surprise inspection focused on evaluating the smooth flow of passenger operations, monitoring procedures at both arrival and departure stages, and assessing the overall quality of services provided. Dr. Hefny emphasized the importance of delivering comfort, support, and a seamless travel experience for all airport users.

During the tour, the Minister inspected several key areas, including departure and arrival halls, ticketing and reservation counters, passport control, customs zones, passenger facilities, service areas, duty-free outlets, and baggage claim sections. He observed the operational workflow and confirmed the presence of sufficient coordination staff dedicated to assisting travelers and maintaining the integrity of airport services.

Dr. Hefny stressed the need for heightened cooperation and consistent coordination among all stakeholders operating at the airport. He underscored the importance of these efforts in managing the current surge in passenger traffic while ensuring service regularity and safety.

Commending the collaborative efforts of all airport authorities and staff, the Minister praised the unified approach to elevating the airport’s performance and reinforcing Cairo International Airport’s role as a pivotal regional and logistical hub in global air transport.

In a show of appreciation, Dr. Hefny also extended Eid Al-Fitr greetings to airport personnel, lauding their dedication and critical role in facilitating passenger movement, especially during the high-demand holiday period.
