The Ministry of Civil Aviation, across its various operational sites, successfully managed to overcome a sudden technical crisis caused by a disruption in telecommunication and internet networks. The incident resulted in limited delays to some flights. However, the approved emergency plan was promptly activated upon the onset of the crisis, ensuring the departure of all flights without the cancellation of any.
Minister of Civil Aviation, Samah el-Hefny, closely followed the latest developments from the Crisis Management Centre at Cairo International Airport, in coordination with the Integrated Operations Centre at EgyptAir.
Pilot Ahmed Adel, Chairman of EgyptAir Holding Company, praised the tremendous efforts made by employees across the company’s various operational sites during the recent unexpected technical crisis.
Adel pointed out that the employees’ commitment, efforts, and dedication reflect their national loyalty and their ability to take responsibility in difficult times, highlighting the high level of professionalism and efficiency demonstrated by EgyptAir staff in overcoming challenges.
Pilot Adel extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to all employees for their outstanding professional performance and swift response in handling the emergency incident with efficiency and professionalism. This played a key role in minimising operational impacts and ensuring the comfort and safety of passengers, despite the exceptional circumstances.
Adel also stressed the importance of maintaining team spirit, continuing to improve service quality, and enhancing performance standards, in line with the company’s long-standing history and its prominent position both regionally and internationally.

On the other hand, Pilot Wael el-Nashar, Chairman and CEO of the Egyptian Airports Company, extended a message of appreciation and gratitude to all employees at the airports affiliated with the company, praising the outstanding performance they demonstrated during the sudden disruption of telecommunication and internet networks.
El-Nashar affirmed that the operational teams and engineers at the airports demonstrated a high level of professionalism and readiness, which contributed to the continuity of efficient operations and the maintenance of regular flight schedules across the company’s airports, without any noticeable impact on the level of services provided to passengers.
The Egyptian Airports Company raised the level of maximum readiness for all technical and operational teams at the company’s headquarters and affiliated airports. In parallel, technological alternatives were prepared, tested, and activated to ensure full readiness for immediate operation.
Coordination was also carried out with the operational teams at airports operating under the Specialided Airports Systems, in addition to full coordination with the relevant authorities to minimise delays, ensure the provision of the best possible services to passengers, and maintain the regularity of flight operations.
