Minister of Civil Aviation Mohamed Abbas congratulated his staff on the annual celebration of the Egyptian Civil Aviation Day.
In his message to the employees, Minister Abbas said: “I am pleased to extend my highest appreciation on this occasion, in commemoration of the arrival of the Egyptian pilot Mohamed Sedky onboard his private plane from Berlin airport to Heliopolis airport on January 26, 1930.
This recorded in letters of light a new history of civil aviation, so that this day becomes a feast for Egyptian civil aviation.
Abbas also extended his great thanks to all workers in the aviation sector for their great effort to improve air transport system.
Addressing the staff, the minister said, “I assure you that we are optimistic about the next stage, due to our firm belief in our determination to complete the process of construction and development and to face the challenges with strong will, thanks to our solidarity and co-operation”.
He urged all workers to exert more effort to advance the civil aviation sector.
Abbas said the civil aviation sector gives a top priority to applying the highest standards of quality and safety, through developing services offered to clients as per the State’s strategy for achieving sustainable development and increasing productivity.
