EgyptAir has operated 4 flights with environmentally-friendly services to Barcelona, Copenhagen, Vienna and Athens, within the framework of the Ministry of Civil Aviation’s strategy to reduce environmental pollution and coinciding with the preparations of the national company EgyptAir, the official carrier of the COP27 climate summit, and its efforts to preserve the environment and phase out the use of “single-use” plastic that is harmful to the environment on all flights and in implementation of the United Nations goals in the field of sustainable development
Amr Aboul-Enein, Chairman of the Board of Directors of EgyptAir, said that the company is currently preparing to participate in the COP27 climate conference in a manner that befits EgyptAir’s position and leadership regionally and internationally by working to increase flights with environmentally friendly services.
Karim Jamil, head of the Committee for Preparation for Climate Change Conference COP27, explained that four flights with environmentally-friendly services have been started as a first stage, and that all flights will be circulated successively according to a time plan, in addition to recycling waste.
Running the trips comes with environmentally friendly services within the framework of the company’s social responsibility and its efforts to reduce environmental pollution and enhance awareness of the harmful effects of the use of plastic materials.
