The UAE is celebrating their golden jubilee with a document of ten inclusive and correlated principles for the next 50 years, charting the country’s economic, political, humanitarian and development path.
The document represents the UAE’s strategic roadmap to achieve its pioneering ambitions in all fields within the coming half century as an embodiment of the ‘UAE Centennial 2071’, which aims to make the UAE the best country in the world.
The UAE is going to implement its vision for the next centennial based on its experience from the development strategies it has been following since 1971 years and contributed effectively to its realisation of great success in various fields.
It has achieved top ranks regionally and internationally in the world competiveness index.
The UAE is continuing its journey for the next 50 years through building a knowledge-based economy, fostering entrepreneurship and innovation, preserving its national heritage, and promoting tolerance, openness and coexistence.
The document stresses that the main drive for growth is human capital. Attracting talents and continuously building skills are what will keep the UAE at the top.
It also stresses that UAE foreign policy is a tool that aims to serve its higher national goals, the most important of which is its economic interests.
The digital, technical and scientific excellence of the UAE will define its new development and economic frontiers and consolidate its position as a capital for talent, companies and investments in these sectors will make it the capital of the future, the document says.
The value system in the UAE will remain based on openness and tolerance, the preservation of rights, the consolidation of the rule of law, respect for cultures, the strengthening of human fraternity and the respect of national identity.
The document’s ninth principle says that the UAE’s humanitarian aid is an essential part of its own vision and moral duty towards less fortunate nations. It is not tied to religion, race, colour or culture. Political disagreement with any country should stop the UAE from providing swift relief for those in need.
The document concludes with a call for peace, harmony, negotiations and dialogue to resolve all conflicts. This call is the basis of UAE foreign policy and endeavours with regional and international partners to establish regional and global peace and stability as a fundamental driver of its foreign policy.
