Decisive questions must be asked and inherent concepts have to be known or classified about democracy, firstly, “Do we need the democracy? Why? And what are the indicators of democracy practicing? Also, what is the nature of a political system that approaches democracy? And how can we evaluate the extent of this democracy?
In the beginning, democracy is government of the people by people as Abraham lincolin said, this is considered the primary definition of democracy, which is created and established in ancient Greece since 500 BCE, Democracy also determines the nature of political system , and grants individuals the whole- sovereignty allowing them to be completely free, this is meant to be liberal democracy.
Since decades throughout 19th century, the democracy has managed several political structures, which have transformed from monarchy to popular rule and adopted The modern political systems, it also play a foundational role in societies by firming the strong values , concerning facing the authotarianism and the extremist ideology
Inherent democracy must include several positive indicators and crucial standards, As commonly known the constitution, multiparty, independent judicial and free media, If the political system has all of these indicators, which are considered the guarantees of liberal democratic, it can be classified as modern political system, pushing its country towards progress and walfare.
Mean while the real country can promte the democracy through respecting core values and princibles and supporting most of them,also implementing mechanism such as human rights, sustainable development, governance, elections and civil society to develop and ensure the strong democracy lasts for decades.
Egypt also, is evaluated as a political system, seeking to catch positvive indicatos, and keeping up the modern politica systems, So it knows well its path to inherent representative councils and continous the parlimentry elections through democratic procesures, wither judicial supervision or monitoring civialins society and international media.
By the way, while we review this regard, it’s so essential to indicate to the universal declaration for human rights which must be kept in the mind of every nation aspiring the progressive measures in its rule, So let’s focus on some subjets of this declaration:
All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.
Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status. Furthermore, no distinction shall be made on the basis of the political, jurisdictional or international status of the country or territory to which a person belongs, whether it be independent, trust, non-self-governing or under any other limitation of sovereignty
Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person. No one shall be held in slavery or servitude; slavery and the slave trade shall be prohibited in all their forms. No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment. Everyone has the right to recognition everywhere as a person before the law. All are equal before the law and are entitled without any discrimination to equal protection of the law. All are entitled to equal protection against any discrimination in violation of this Declaration and against any incitement to such discrimination.
Everyone has the right to an effective remedy by the competent national tribunals for acts violating the fundamental rights granted him by the constitution or by law. No one shall be subjected to arbitrary arrest, detention or exile.
Everyone is entitled in full equality to a fair and public hearing by an independent, and impartial tribunal, in the determination of his rights and obligations and of any criminal charge against him.
