Iran rejects US ceasefire plan, issues own demands

DUBAI — Iran on Wednesday dismissed an American plan to pause the war in the Middle East and launched more attacks on Israel and Gulf Arab countries, including an assault that sparked a huge fire at Kuwait International Airport.

Egypt reaffirms full solidarity with S. Arabia, Bahrain against regional threats

Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Co-operation, and Egyptians Abroad, Dr Badr Abdel-Aty, reaffirmed Egypt’s unwavering solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Bahrain in confronting any threats to their security and sovereignty, including those posed by Iran.

He also emphasised that the security of the Arabian Gulf is an integral part of Egypt’s national security, and strongly condemned the recent attack targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Abdel-Aati remarks were made during two telephone calls held on Wednesday with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Dr Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, within the framework of ongoing consultations and coordination regarding rapidly evolving regional developments.

Advisory Committee calls for transparency, public communication amid regional challenges

Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli reaffirmed on Wednesday the government’s commitment to maintaining ongoing dialogue and consultation with the Advisory Committee for Political Affairs to review regional and local developments, exchange perspectives, and explore strategies to address the current challenges affecting Egypt and the wider region.

During a meeting held at the government headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, the prime minister emphasised the importance of holding regular meetings with the Advisory Committee to listen to expert opinions and ideas.

Egypt delivers 3rd batch of Hepatitis C medical aid to Ghana

Egypt’s Ambassador to Ghana, Wael Fathi, attended on Wednesday the official handover of a shipment of Egyptian-provided medical aid designated for the treatment of Hepatitis C, delivered to the Ghanaian Ministry of Health.

Rapid response units evacuate at-risk citizens during severe weather

Minister of Local Development, Manal Awad, monitored on Wednesday the operations at the Ministry’s National Emergency Network Centre in the New Administrative Capital, overseeing nationwide efforts to manage rainwater and mitigate the impact of adverse weather conditions affecting several governorates.

She also held a video conference with governors to review measures implemented in response to the unstable weather.

In response, a state of full alert has been declared across local units, with field teams deployed to address water accumulation on main and secondary roads, streets and public squares.

FIFA announces latest phase of World Cup ticket sales

FIFA announced on Wednesday plans for a final round of World Cup ticket sales. World soccer’s governing body said over one million tickets had been sold by the end of the previous release between December and February and additional tickets would be put on general sale April 1 to the end of the tournament, which runs from June 11 to July 19.
