The latest edition of the Cairo International Book Fair, which wrapped up on Thursday, witnessed an unprecedented visitor turnout, the Ministry of Culture said.
Over 1.7 million people visited the fair since it kicked off for the public on July 1, until July 15, the ministry added.
It added that over 160,000 of ministry books were also sold during the event, the largest cultural event in Egypt and the African continent.
The ministry noted that the fair’s digital platform also received 225 million visits during the 15 days of event.
Around 1.6 million users also registered in the platform, the ministry said.
