The Egyptian airports and the three Cairo Airport buildings continued their celebration of  the Chrismas and the new Gregorian year. Coordination was made between various airport terminals, whether Terminals 1, 2 and 3, the Seasonal Terminal Building, and Terminal 4 to place decorations, Christmas trees, Santa Claus figures, and gifts throughout the airports.

Engineer Mohamed Saeed Mahrous, Chairman of the Egyptian Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation, stated that preparing for the New Year celebrations by decorating Cairo International Airport and all local airports across the country, especially the airports of tourist attractions of Sharm El Sheikh, Hurghada and Borj Al-Arab, aims to spread the atmosphere of joy among travellers coming to spend the New Year holiday in Egypt, expected to witness a tourist turnout.

Mahrous added that EgyptAir main points have been allocated to take souviner photos with these decorations, leaving a good memory in the minds of visitors.

On the other hand, EgyptAir, a member of the Global Star Alliance, has celebrated Christmas with its customers travelling from Cairo International Airport.

The national carrier offered customers discounts, free excess luggage vouchers  and free travel miles and Santa Claus gave souvenirs and had photos taken with travellers in Terminals 2 and 3 before bidding them farewell.

All EgyptAir lounges were decorated for marking the celebrations of the Christmas and New Year, EgyptAir Holding Company chairman Yehia Zakaria said.

EgyptAir main points in the departure and arrival halls at Cairo Airport were also decorated to mark the New Year.

Zakaria said that in light of EgyptAir’s keenness to provide various services and facilities to its  customers, the company flies trips to tourist attractions nationwide, especially during seasonal holidays, commensurate with the booking and accommodation schedules of clients and their tourism programme.

Zakaria added that within the framework of the company’s New Year’s celebrations, all the company’s resting points were decorated to receive passengers. EgyptAir main points in the travel and arrival halls at Cairo airport and many external sites were decorated to welcome the New Year.

Zakaria confirmed that it always gives us pleasure to receive customers on board the national carrier’s flights to nearly 70 destinations around the world, as well as to benefit from our membership in the global Star Alliance, which reaches 1,300 airports in 193 countries around the world.

On the other hand, pilot Ehab El-Tahtawy, Chairman of the Board of Directors of EgyptAir Airlines, stated that EgyptAir provided, on this occasion, free benefits to passengers, which included discounts on tickets, and free extra baggage vouches.

EgyptAir Duty Free also presented souvenirs to passengers at EgyptAir Terminal 2 and 3 and took souvenir photos with the passengers and Santa Claus.
