ALGIERS – Algerian Transport Minister Issa Bakay discussed with Egypt’s Ambassador to Algeria Mokhtar Warida the possibility of increasing the number of outbound and inbound flights between the two countries and launching new airlines.
This came in a meeting at the premises of the Algerian Transport Ministry, the ministry said in a statement.
The two sides discussed means to boost bilateral ties in the transport field via activating bilateral cooperation mechanisms.
They also discussed activating the role of Egyptian-Algerian maritime transport technical committee as per the cooperation agreement signed between the two countries, the statement added.
It further noted that both sides agreed on continuing contacts and bilateral meetings with the view to promoting cooperation between Cairo and Algiers in the transport domain.
