The Egyptian government aims to strengthen precautionary measures followed by all sectors and institutions of the Egyptian state in order to preserve the safety and health of citizens and tourists coming to Egypt from the spread of the coronavirus.

The minister added that the ministry is constantly keen to implement all precautionary measures and closely follows the international instructions issued by health and aviation organisations as well as inspections at various Egyptian airports through inspection committees that are carried out at airports and all work sites within the civil aviation sector.

This comes in coordination with the various executive bodies and in accordance with the rules of the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization to ensure the highest levels of accuracy and compliance with international safety and quality standards.

The national air carrier, EgyptAir, is also sanitizing all its aircraft in cooperation with the preventive medicine teams of EgyptAir. The sanitization operations are purifying the aircraft cockpit, the passenger cabin, corridors, seats and toilets as well as the aircraft stores, in addition to sanitizing the aircraft body from the outside, as a precautionary measure, and in accordance with the requirements.
