In a record-breaking night for the regional digital economy, TikTok concluded its annual TikTok Awards MENA 2025 at The Gate, DIFC. The ceremony, held on January 8, saw a staggering 5.7 million votes cast by fans to honor 33 creators across 11 diverse categories.
This year’s gala marked a strategic milestone as it partnered for the first time with the 1 Billion Followers Summit, the world’s premier event for the content creator ecosystem. The collaboration underscored TikTok’s evolving role in shaping Middle Eastern culture and the professionalization of the “influencer” industry.
A Star-Studded Celebration of Digital Impact
The evening was hosted by prominent regional icons Yara Bou Monsef and Sherif Fayed. The stage featured high-octane performances from some of the Arab world’s biggest names, including:
• Nancy Ajram: The Lebanese pop sensation headlined the musical lineup.
• WiztheMC: The singer-songwriter performed his viral TikTok hit, “Show Me Love.”
• Yara Moustafa: The actress and singer showcased her trending track “A’ish Balak.”
