Journalist Bassam Abdel Samiee has released his new novel, The Robot State, which is about a state in which robots are ruling. The robot state accesses the United Nations and the Security Council and its obtaining the right of veto.
The Robot State highlights the US-China conflict, the mafia’s relationship with the intelligence services, and its role in carrying out tasks related to national security.
The events of the novel take place during the period from 1919 to 2031, starting from Egypt, going to China, America, Japan, Russia and Europe.
The novel monitors the development of robots through artificial intelligence and their transformation into a partner in life for the majority of families around the world. It also predicts millions of marriages between humans and robots, then the occurrence of clashes between them and a rise in divorce cases, so that events develop, declaring a conflict between humans and robots.
The novel narrates how the robot state was announced through audio and video messages showing the end of the human era on Mars. The novel tells how robots got out of control and went through self-development and then declare war on humans. They spread malicious programmes leading mobile phones around the world to explode killing around 100 million people.
The novel reveals that there is a new American weapon that can destroy robots through a technical programme that broadcasts signals that lead to the self-destruction of all robots within minutes. The USA asks countries to buy this weapon that was planted in space during the travel curfew project which took place during the Corona pandemic years.
The novel begins with Ibrahim Abdel Wahed, who woke up to the voices of people in the square of the Morsi Abu al-Abbas Mosque in Alexandria in demonstrations against the British occupation in 1919, in conjunction with a series of protests that toured Egyptian cities.
The novel then shows the unity between Christian and Muslim families in the Shubra area in Cairo. The writer also highlights some major events like the July 1952 revolution, the Tripartite Aggression of 1956, the 1967 defeat and the victory of the 1973 war.
