The 53rd edition of the fair, held in its new premises in New Cairo, presents a wide array of services that were not availed to the public in the past, like a free of charge e-library on its website and the possibility of e-shopping directly from the fair as well.
The leading company in the nuclear energy industry ROSATOM, is actively participating in this round of the fair with three publications dedicated to educating adults and children about nuclear energy production.
ROSATOM’s three books are on display at “KOTOBNA” publisher’s booth A35 in Hall 1.
The Three books are distributed for free to spectators of the book fair, and KOTOBNA has witnessed strong enthusiasm from spectators who has acquired those books since the beginning of the current fair, and many positive remarks from them pointing out the importance of addressing this subject in a scientific way enhancing the personal awareness opposed to prior negligence in the community of the nuclear energy matter.
The first book “Nuclear Alphabet: ABC” explains to children the basic facts about nuclear energy and about how atoms are structured in the different substances in an introduction that makes it easier for them to comprehend how nuclear energy is generated.
It clarifies why we need to shift to nuclear energy instead of relying on fossil fuel, providing the data about the discrepancy in quantities of fuel needed for a certain vehicle to move from one point to another and the scale of pollution that the fossil fuel leaves behind in comparison to the clean nuclear power.
The book presents the complicated scientific information in an easy-to-read language with very vivid and colorful drawings that simplify the scientific principles, shedding lights on the basic principles of Atomic energy.
“Nuclear Industries Professions” is a book that introduces to children the professions in the field of nuclear technology as well as the new uses that apply nuclear technology like medicine, archeology, and others. The book is designed in a very interactive manner as it provides some scientific experiments that children can carry out themselves as well as plain drawings for them to paint.
The third book is titled, “You’ve got questions? We’ve got answers! Here is all you wanted to know about nuclear”, is an 80 pages guide presenting answers to the frequently asked questions about nuclear energy. The book covers both the scientific information about nuclear physics and nuclear energy as well as the facts and figures about the current global production of nuclear energy and its uses.
The layout is very attractive and makes it visually easy to follow for both adults and children.
This initiative from ROSATOM is highly regarded, as to answer most frequently asked questions with the facts related to that important issue, the company takes on its responsibility an education cycle towards that community with the importance and necessity, as well as the modern uses of nuclear power and energy in the modern world, reflecting on the modernization scheme Egypt is taking towards enriching and enhancing its energy sources for a better future to its citizens.
Our realization- in the past two weeks, since the fair has started; is that, the appetite for those three books between visitors are excellent, especially between young generation and college students, many people wish to know more about this critical subject for their knowledge enhancement and curiosity fulfillment. As the first Egyptian to be selected for this post.
