Minister of Culture, Enas Abdel-Dayem, announced the launch of the second phase of the Roaming Theatre in the governorates, which is implemented by the Artistic House of Theatre, headed by Ismail Mokhtar, represented the Confrontation and Roaming Troupe, led by director Mohamed Al-Sharqawi, and in coordination with the rest of the affiliated groups, yesterday at the National Theatre.
“The Roaming Theatre sends positive messages calling for action to achieve a bright future of the country,” said the Minister of Culture, Inas Abdel Dayem.
Abdel Dayem added that the plan of the second phase includes presenting 15 shows in 200 Egyptian villages with the participation of all the troupes of the artistic theatre house, in addition to participating in the presidential initiative “Decent Life” launched by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, where 145 nights of performances are presented in the targeted villages, starting this August to mind-January.
This initiative is carried out in co-operation with the Ministries of Interior, Youth and Sports, and Social Solidarity, in addition to the General Authority for Culture Palaces and a number of concerned authorities and civil society institutions.
Meanwhile, the veteran singers Nadia Moustafa and Mohamed El-Helw held a musical night as part of the activities of 29th edition of the Salah El-Din Citadel International Festival for Music and Singing.
The festival is organized by the Egyptian Opera House, headed by Dr. Magdy Saber.
On the Al-Mahki theatre, the star Nadia Mustafa, accompanied by the orchestra led by Maestro Medhat Hamida, sang the audience with a group of her songs, which everyone responded to.
Then Mohamed El-Helw accompanied by the orchestra led by Maestro Mohamed Abdel Sattar, sings a selection of his famous songs.
