Transforming Ramadan Charity into Sustainable Growth

In a strategic move to combat food insecurity and champion local agriculture, Redcon Properties has partnered with the Egyptian Food Bank to support the “Kheerak Yewsal Le Gheerak” (Your Goodness Reaches Others) campaign. This collaboration marks a significant shift from traditional corporate charity toward a sustainable developmental model designed to create long-term social and economic impact.

The “Kheerak Yewsal Le Gheerak” campaign, launched during the holy month of Ramadan, operates through the Egyptian Food Bank’s Empowerment Axis. Unlike conventional aid programs, this initiative creates a circular benefit system. The process begins by purchasing crops directly from local farmers, ensuring they receive fair economic returns and stable market access. These crops are then processed and packaged into Ramadan food boxes. The final products are delivered to Egypt’s most vulnerable families, ensuring they receive high-quality, nutritious meals.

By prioritizing the empowerment of producers first, the partnership ensures that the act of giving also stimulates the local economy, creating a “ripple effect” of stability.

For Redcon Properties, this partnership is a core component of its broader corporate identity. Eng. Tarek ElGamal, Chairman of Redcon Properties, emphasized that social responsibility is an integral strategy rather than a peripheral obligation. “It reflects our long-term vision to create sustainable impact across both society and the economy,” ElGamal stated, noting that the company’s approach aims to generate lasting value for all segments of society.

Eng. Ahmad Touni, CEO of Redcon Properties, echoed this sentiment, asserting that true corporate success is measured by tangible improvements in community life. Touni highlighted that the company’s growth strategy is inextricably linked to initiatives that promote social and economic stability.

Mr. Mohsen Sarhan, CEO of the Egyptian Food Bank, lauded the collaboration as a blueprint for private-sector engagement. He noted that the partnership aligns with the Food Bank’s four strategic pillars: protection, prevention, empowerment, and elevation. By integrating Redcon’s resources with the Food Bank’s developmental expertise, the campaign reinforces food security across Egypt while upholding the dignity of both the provider and the recipient.

This initiative is the latest in Redcon Properties’ portfolio of social investments. The company has a proven track record of fostering entrepreneurship and economic resilience. In June 2025, Redcon partnered with the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) Cairo to support the EO Accelerator program. That initiative provided small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) owners with specialized training and professional guidance, further proving Redcon’s commitment to building a robust, self-sustaining local economy.

Through the “Kheerak Yewsal Le Gheerak” campaign, Redcon Properties and the Egyptian Food Bank are demonstrating that when the private sector invests in the “Empowerment Axis,” the path to food security becomes a journey of economic growth for the entire nation.
