WHO expert: Egypt’s gov’t spending in health sector in 2019-2020 FY hit EGP 256 bn

Health Economist at the World Health Organisation (WHO) Ahmed Khalifa said Egypt’s government spending on health during 2019-2020 fiscal year hit LE256 billion He made the remarks while reviewing a study on the national health spending of the 2019-2020 fiscal year in the presence of Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Finance Minister Mohamed Maait, and International Co-operation Minister Rania Mashat. Khalifa said government spending on the health sector in 2019-2020 represented 33 per cent of public spending against 28 per cent in the previous year.
