Researcher Ahmed Moussa Abdel Rahman Salama has obtained a PhD degree from Department of Microbiology and Diagnostic and Molecular Immunology, National Liver Institute, Menoufia University, for the diagnostic study conducted on the impact of the novel Corona virus (Covid-19).
The thesis was titled “Comparative Study of Vaccine Antibody Testing for Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Virus Patients vs. Reaction of Polymerase Chain for Nasopharyngeal Swab and Oropharyngeal Swab”.

The discussion committee included as members Dr Enas Ghoniem, Head of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the National Liver Institute, Dr Tawfik Abdel Mottalib, Professor of Microbiology and Immunology and Executive Director of the National Liver Institute, Major General Doctor Saria Mohamed Hawam, Professor of Microbiology and Immunology at the Police Academy and Director of the Medical Complex of the Armed Forces in Alexandria.
The discussion was attended by the Supervisory Committee, led by Dr Azza Abd Elaziz, Professor of Microbiology and Immunology and Vice Dean of the National Liver Institute for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr Fatima Omar Khalil, Assistant Professor of Microbiology and Immunology at the National Liver Institute, Dr Mohamed Abdel Rahman Ahmed, Professor of Microbiology and Immunology at the Medical Academy of the Armed Forces in Alexandria.
A number of microbiologists and physicians from other departments at the National Liver Institute hospitals were also present.
