CAIRO – Presidential Adviser for Health and Preventive Affairs Dr. Mohamed Awad Tag El-Din, affirmed that the presidential initiatives launched by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi under the slogan “100 Million Health” constitute a fundamental cornerstone for the early detection, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases, and for eliminating waiting lists.
Commenting on the comprehensive health insurance file and the imminent inclusion of the Suez and Aswan governorates in the system, Tag El-Din said that the comprehensive health insurance system is applied to all residents of the governorate from all categories and takes care of the entire family. It is a form of social solidarity for treating medical conditions or early detection of diseases, he added.
During a call with the “Good Morning Egypt” program broadcast on the Egyptian Channel One today, Monday, Tag El-Din added that the early detection of any disease means complete recovery and control over it. He noted that early detection significantly reduces the burden on the patient personally and economically benefits the family and society in many ways.
He mentioned that millions of women have been examined to ensure there are no breast tumors or other diseases, explaining that early detection of these tumors in the initial stages means complete recovery from the disease. He also noted that there is great interest in the early detection of diseases in children, which results in the identification of some hereditary or genetic diseases, and continuous treatment plans are put in place for them.
