CAIRO – Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli Sunday affirmed that the government gives a top priority to dealing with complaints of people and taking swift action regarding emergency medical cases, in line with directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
Madbouli made the remarks while reviewing a report detailing efforts of the Cabinet’s Supreme Medical Committee during October 2024.
Submitted by Head of the Cabinet’s Supreme Medical Committee Hossam el Masry, the report showed that the committee has responded to 1,327 complaints reported via Whatsapp mobile application and social media networks.
Masry said that the committee’s response to the cases included issuing 170 decisions for treatment at the state’s expense by the prime minister, providing medical procedures for 47 cases for Gamma Knife and CyberKnife treatment, along with issuing 33 decisions for half-matched bone marrow transplants.
He added that during the Q3 of 2024, up 35 decisions were issued by the prime minister for treatment of emergency cases, providing medications for 211 reported and addressed complaints, as well as fitting 55 cases with prosthetic limbs and assistive devices.
