Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population sent two military planes carrying more than 31 tonnes of medical supplies to Tunisia to help mitigate the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the sister Arab country.
The dispatch of the aid was directed by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, the ministry said Saturday. It added that this step came in coordination with the Egyptian Armed Forces to foster ties between the two sisterly countries.
The aid shipment includes 1,500 doses of the antiviral medication, Remdesivir, 300 medical oxygen cylinders with 300 regulators, 200,000 surgical masks, 20,000 high-efficiency facemasks, 20,000 latex glove packets and 100 devices for measuring oxygen in blood, among others, the ministry said.
