Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli followed up on efforts of the higher medical committee under the cabinet in April.
Madbouli reviewed on Wednesday a detailed report by the committee, lauding its role, in co-operation and coordination with other concerned institutions to present a number of programmes and services that aimed at expanding the range of beneficiaries.
The report was presented by Dr. Hossam el-Masry, head of the committee and medical adviser to the prime minister.
The committee was established in 2016 to decide on treatment at state expense decisions, said the committee head.
In April, the committee responded to treating 784 cases seeking emergency help through newspapers, news sites and social networking sites, according to el-Masry
