Addressing presidential directives and reinforcing the commitment to the Sustainable Development Strategy “Egypt 2030,” the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Health and Population formally entered a joint Memorandum of Understanding on Saturday.
The agreement, focusing on proactive health preservation and preventative care for athletes, was signed during the proceedings of the World Conference on Population, Health, and Human Development.
The signing was officially witnessed by Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi and Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar.
Sobhi highlighted that the partnership is a critical component of the Ministry of Youth and Sports’ mandate to foster physically capable and healthy citizens.
The primary aim is to ensure Egyptian athletes receive the highest level of health and treatment services necessary to optimize their performance and representation in continental and international competitions.
The new protocol establishes a framework for the Ministry of Health and Population’s facilities to deliver holistic health and treatment services, significantly raising the standard of care available to athletes nationwide.
