CAIRO – The Egyptian Health Ministry announced launching six convoys for reproductive health and family planning in 18 villages in six governorates on May 9-12.
This comes within the framework of the National Project for Developing the Egyptian Family.
Spokesman for the Health Ministry Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said that these convoys aim at providing services and means of family planning for free in the villages of “Decent Life” in addition to the needy villages.
The convoys will be launched in Sohag, Qalubiya, Gharbiya, Sharqiya, Fayyoum and Beheira.
The convoys will include holding awareness seminars to raise the societal awareness on a number of issues including child marriage, female genital mutilation and child labour, Head of sector of population and family planning Hossam Abbas said.
