CAIRO – Egyptian Health Minister Hala Zayed headed on Tuesday for Germany accompanied by Presidential Advisor for health and preventive affairs Mohamed Awad Tageldin, Board Chairman of Wadi el Nile company Hani Dahy and medical advisor of prime minister Hossam el-Masry to discuss boosting co-operation between Egypt and Germany in the health field.
Spokesman for the Health Ministry Khaled Megahed said that Zayed will visit Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart and is to meet with the board of Mercedes-Benz company to complete a contract on supplying the Egyptian Health Ministry with 1000 ambulances and 1000 mobile medical clinics.
This comes within the strategy of the Health Ministry to implement the national project of developing Egyptian countryside as part of the presidential initiative of “Decent Life”.
Megahed said that the minister will visit WAS car factory to stand on the preparations and the modifications implemented by the company in the movable medical clinics and the ambulances contracted on.
The visit also includes holding a meeting with officials of Siemens company within the framework of continuous co-operation with the company to support the health sector in Egypt in the different fields especially the medial technology domain.
Zayed will also meet with officials of Robert Koch Institute to exchange expertise in the field of public health and facing coronavirus pandemic, Megahed said.
