Majed George, head of the Egyptian Exporting Council of Medical industries (ECMI), said the exports of medicine, cosmetics and medical supplies increased to $883 million in the first 11 months of 2022, compared with one year earlier.
The exports of the sector increased by 45% in the first 11 months of 2022, registering $883 against $610 million in the same period in 2021, according to a statement issued by the council Saturday.
The exports of cosmetics remarkably jumped in the first 11 months of 2022, reaching $558 million; an increase of 208%, while medicine exports hit $226 million in the relevant period, added the statement.
