February 4th marks World Cancer Day and is an opportunity to renew and amplify efforts to manage this disease. This year’s theme, “Uniting our Voices and Taking Action,” is timely, as no single organization, sector, or approach can conquer cancer on its own. It will take a collective effort to make meaningful progress.
AstraZeneca Egypt is launching a holistic patient support programme “Tadamon” which offers different solutions to support cancer patients. The programme includes access to free diagnostic tests, in addition to increasing the awareness of patients and their families by fully empowering them with all the resources and early screenings.

The programme aims to increase the screening and diagnostic capabilities and empowering patients to fight cancer. Furthermore, it has ambitious goals to expand cancer screening and diagnostic services to estimate of one million people and provide training to over 10,000 healthcare professionals across 100 oncology centres in Africa.
