CAIRO – Health and Population Minister Hala Zayed said on Monday 400,000 eligible citizens have registered online for receiving the Covid-19 vaccine.
The move is part of the country’s plan to mitigate the spread of the killer virus.
At a press conference on the occasion of launching an e-learning platform for Egyptian fellowship, the minister said 40 centers were allocated nationwide for vaccinating eligible citizens against the coronavirus.
Also, an office was allocated in each health unit and hospital across the nation to register citizens who are not able to complete the process online, she added.
After finalizing the vaccination of medical staff for free, the state’s vaccination plan began for high-priority citizens.
The registration to get the vaccine is done either online through (http://mohpegypt.com) or at certain health facilities.
Afterwards, citizens get informed about the time and place where they will receive the vaccine.
Eligible citizens have to take two shots of the vaccine (21 days apart) at a cost of LE 200 (US$ 12.73) per shot
