CAIRO -The Cabinet’s media centre Sunday said that some 13.3 million citizens have registered in the early cancer detection presidential initiative since mid-September 2025.
This came in an infograph published by the Cabinet’s media center on its social media platforms to highlight state’s efforts to combat cancer through the presidential early detection initiative.
The infograph underscored state’s commitment to building an integrated healthcare system that ensures the well-being of citizens.
It added that the presidential initiative for early detection of cancerous tumors represents a key pillar of these efforts, reflecting Egypt’s determination to combat non-communicable diseases, including cancer, through early diagnosis and free treatment during initial stages.
The initiative was launched in June 2023 with the aim of early diagnosis of several cancer types, including lung, colon, prostate, and cervical cancers, and providing free treatment, helping to improve recovery outcomes and reduce mortality rates, the infograph showed.
The initiative, which targets men and women aged 18 and above, seeks to eliminate cervical cancer in Egypt by 2030.
