If you love Egyptian art and culture, you won’t want to miss the exhibition Bridging Cairo & New York! This show celebrates the rich artistic heritage of Egypt and its vibrant expressions in the modern city of Cairo, where artists draw inspiration from their surroundings.
The exhibition is a collaboration between Alcinda Saphira of Saphira & Ventura Gallery and Shereen Badr of Artoday, two curators who share a passion for promoting Egyptian art in New York.

The exhibition features the artwork of ten Egyptian artists from different eras, schools, and styles, such as Aliaa El Gready, Asmaa El Nawawy, Emad Abd Elwahab, Khaled Hafez, Lina Osama, Mariem Abutaleb, Mhanny Yaoud, Mohamed Monaiseer, Sabah Naim and Tarek El Sheikh.
Badr said that the exhibition is a unique opportunity to showcase the diversity and creativity of Egyptian art in New York, the world’s capital of modern art. She also said that the exhibition supports gender equality by featuring female artists alongside male artists.
Saphira said “Bridging Cairo & New York” is more than just an exhibition, it is a cultural exchange that connects the ancient and contemporary art traditions of Cairo with the lively and varied art scene in New York.
She added that the exhibition invites viewers to engage in a conversation that goes beyond geographical borders, celebrating the universal language of art.
