KUWAIT CITY – Egyptian Ambassador to Kuwait Osama Shaltout received from the Kuwait National Museum five artifacts that were smuggled from Egypt.
The ambassador thanked Kuwait and the bodies concerned for cooperation with Egypt to restore the stolen pieces.
The five artifacts were seized in Kuwait in 2019.
In statements to MENA on the fringe of the monuments’ handover, Shaltout underlined that the two countries are keen on enhancing bilateral cooperation in various domains.
He noted that there is continued coordination between the two sides vis-a-vis issues of mutual concern.
