Swiss electronic producer and DJ duo, Adriatique performed on Monday at the 3,500-year-old Hatshepsut Temple in Luxor.
The event was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, represented by the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion.
Supreme Council of Antiquities Secretary General Mostafa Waziry said such international events at archaeological sites help boost tourism, especially to Luxor.
About 3,000 tourists attended the event, a ministry statement said.
Amr El-Kady, who is CEO of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, said that sponsoring such events present Egyptian touristic sites as renewed and vibrant.
Last October, the Hatshepsut Temple was the venue for a fashion show by international Italian fashion house Stefano Ricci on the occasion of its 50th anniversary.
In December, Dior unveiled its Fall 2023 Men’s Collection at the Giza Pyramids.
