Thirty hot air balloon flights took off in Luxor on Wednesday, carrying 700 tourists of various nationalities, head of the union of air balloon companies in the Upper Egyptian city Ahmed Aboud said.
The flights, operated by several travel agencies, flew over the city’s archaeological sites, Aboud said in statements.
He said the decision to resume the flights was taken after making clear that weather conditions are suitable, adding that all operators are committed to the instructions of civil aviation authority.
