CAIRO – Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi said on Monday the Egyptian state, under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, always seeks to achieve equality between men and women in various fields.
During a celebration to launch educational awareness forums themed “International Labour Organisation (ILO) talks with youth on the future of labour”, the minister said co-operation between ILO and his ministry aims at reaching out to young people across Egyptian governorates.
For his part, director of ILO office in Egypt Eric Oechslin praised co-operation between his organisation and the Ministry of Youth and Sports in carrying out projects and initiatives aiming at empowering Egyptian youth in many spheres.
He said permanent positive co-operation between the two sides would help in achieving positive and constructive results helping youth and qualifying them for labor markets through a number of training workshops in the field of entrepreneurship as well as in areas connected with the inclusion of persons with special needs in the labor market, vocational health and safety and promoting gender equality in the workplace.
