CAIRO – Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi asserted that continuous work and reconstruction top the state’s approach in the new republic under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, asserting that the ministry has adopted a strategy for turning youth centres into community service centres.
The minister’s remarks were made during his participation in a conference on the role of youth and sports ministry in building the national awareness of Egypt’s youths.
A galaxy of youth centers including the New Helwan Youth Centre and the 15th of May Club, Al Massara Youth Centre and others are participating in the conference.
Addressing youths, Sobhi said the ministry has embraced a variety of programmes to help raise awareness among youths and teenagers about confronting any fabricated ideas or rumors about the state.
The minister made a tour of New Helwan Youth Centre which has recently been renovated to include playgrounds and a clubhouse as part of his tours in the youth and sports facilities nationwide.
The minister was accompanied during his tour with a number of parliament members as well as top officials of the sports ministry.
