Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhy asserted the commitment of the Egyptian state to merging the disabled in the different activities and projects in light of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to enable them achieve their aspirations.
Sobhy thanked the UAE for its continuous support to Egypt.
This came on the sidelines of the launch of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination (ZHO) and Abu Dhabi Developmental Holding Company PJSC (ADQ) of the Bridges of Hope programme to support the disabled in Egypt via an office of the disabled in the ministry to present integrated educational and qualification services in Egypt.
The programme comes within the framework of the participation of the UAE in “Decent Life” initiative launched by President Sisi to boost social protection for the needy segments of the disabled.
The programme aims at developing a number of Egyptian villages via providing integrated services for the disabled and awareness programmes for their families.
Sobhy lauded the co-operation with the UAE in the field of youth and sports, adding that it reflects the distinguished ties between Egypt and the UAE.
The Bridges of Hope programme is organised by Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination. It is helping parents in the UAE and beyond to help pupils stay focused during online lessons and manage their study timetables with minimal stress.
