Egyptian Minister of Local Development Mahmoud Shaarawy said that “Your Voice is Heard” initiative received in July 13,200 messages including 2,004 complaints and responded to 80.7 per cent of them.

This comes in light of the tendency of the Egyptian state to digital transformation of all its bodies to continue the goals of the work plan of the Ministry of Local Development to receive, scan and direct all the complaints and respond them electronically via the initiative.

In a statement on Tuesday, Shaarawy said that the initiative received more than 504,800 messages including 93,200 complaints, adding that 90,400 were solved.

He pointed out to the importance of opening and varying the channels of receiving and detecting the complaints of the citizens continuously and taking the necessary steps.

The complaints of the citizens received by the initiative in July varied between complaints and encroachments, he said.

Shaarawy said that the initiative contributed to making a quantum leap in the complaint services.

Cairo, Giza, Alexandria, Qaliubiya, Sohag, Minya, Sharqiya and Dakahliya were among the governorates that quickly responded to the complaints received by the initiative, he said.

Shaarawy said that he is following the complaints presented to the initiative on daily basis.
