CAIRO – First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Ahmed Saad El Din said the World Youth Forum (WYF), currently held in the Red Sea resort city of Sharm el-Sheikh, has been successful and made multiple gains for Egypt.
The four-day event, which is set to conclude its activities today, has achieved all its objectives for the sake of the Egyptian youth as well as the youth from the whole world, Saad el Din said in press statements Thursday.
The lawmaker considered the fourth edition of the WYF a kickoff for the return of all regional and global conferences and forums despite the spread of coronavirus; via applying the Egyptian experience in holding such an unprecedented forum globally since the emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Meanwhile, he pointed out to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s clear and decisive vision announced during the forum as regards the necessity of international cooperation in facing the negative impacts of climate change, describing the WYF’s session on climate change as a roadmap for Egypt’s preparations for hosting the upcoming United Nations Climate Change Conference in Sharm el-Sheikh next November.
He also noted that the forum has largely promoted stable security conditions in Egypt, as well as its economic, investment and tourist fields.
