A number of world leaders who are taking part in the 2023 Cairo Summit for Peace arrived at the venue of its convocation in the New Administrative Capital (NAC) on Saturday.
The Summit is held at a call from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and aims to support the Palestinian cause, discuss the future of the peace process, along with stopping escalation in the Gaza Strip.
Earlier in the day, Sisi arrived in the NAC for the Summit that brings together leaders from over a dozen Arab and Western nations, along with high-level representatives from the European Union.
The Summit is set to address de-escalating the war in Gaza, pursue a ceasefire, and seek a resolution to the long-standing Israeli-Palestinian conflict via the two-state solution.
It is scheduled that 31 countries and three international organizations will take part in the Summit, in addition to the participation of Secretary General of the United Nations António Guterres.
