Participants in the session on ‘Future of Education and Talent’ at the World Government Summit 2022 agreed on activating digital solutions and an education that brings knowledge together.
This will help learners and motivate them to effectively contribute national strategies set by governments.
The sessions also discussed the role of governments in the future of education to meet the needs of this and future generations.
The ministers and experts who participated in the event also stressed the importance of technology and its impact on the future of education, employment and fostering talent.
Successful governments of the future will be those that best use of digital technology and artificial intelligence to develop education, enhance skills, and harmonise between the needs of development and the future of work in its current and emerging patterns.
In a session themed ‘Redesigning Education Systems, Sarah bint Yousef Al Amiri, UAE Minister of State for Advanced Technology said the future of education is based on the human element, no matter how advanced the technology.
“So, governments should keep pace with the development of continuous skills to back the competencies of tomorrow, Al Amiri said.
She also referred to the importance of reducing the cost of technology tools and solutions used in education and facilitating learners’ access to knowledge wherever they are , highlighting UAE initiatives in this regard.
Josh Kallmer, Head of Global Public Policy and Government Relations at Zoom, said the future of learning and talent will be based on diversity in style, content, place and mechanisms.
Kallmer called on governments to constantly review education policies for new generations.
“This should be with more focus on understanding future expectations of individuals while taking into account flexibility in solutions education,” Kallmer added.
Kautilia Kataria, the world’s youngest programmer since the age of six according to the Guinness Book of World Records, defines himself as a digital explorer and a solution hunter.
“My generation of children is able to learn a lot if two elements are provided: guidance and counseling,” Kataria said.
Kataria designed the Museum of the Future building in Dubai.
