The Egyptian Tourism Ministry finalized training of 22 workers at tourist facilities – restaurants and cafes – in Sharm El Sheikh on the basics of food safety, hygiene practices and relevant sustainable solutions.
This falls within the framework of Egypt’s preparations for the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27) which is due to be held in Sharm in November.
The ministry is keen on adopting sound environmental practices and making them sustainable.
In a statement on Sunday, Tourism Minister’s Adivser Soha Bahgat said the training was held in coordination with the Chamber Of Tourism Establishments to upskill workers in the tourism sector.
