The French transportation firm RATP Dev Mobility Cairo that is in charge of running and operating Cairo Metro Line 3 or Green Line announced an extension in suspending the work in four stations of the third line until 7 am on Saturday, according to MENA.

The stations are Qebaa, Omar bin Khattab, Haikstb and Adly Mansour, said the Transport Ministry in a statement on Thursday.

Work was suspended in the four underground stations because of ongoing construction work at Musturad axis, the ministry added in the statement.

Work runs regularly and normally in other metro stations extending from Atabaa until Hisham Barakat with full capacity and on schedule, according to the statement.

The decision is part of security and precautionary measures to ensure the safety of citizens while carrying out the construction work in the aforementioned area, it said.
