CAIRO – The woman is the key to success in life and the stability of homelands, said Awqaf Minister Osama el-Azhari.
Speaking – on behalf of Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli – during the 35th International Conference of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Azhari said that the Qura’n unequivocally shed light on the stories of women, including Sarah, Hajar, and Maryam the daughter of ‘Imraan.
The minister, meanwhile, said that Islam raises the status of women and protects their rights.
He further stressed that the Palestinian woman has a lot of persistence in life, adding that she has endured the bitterness of losing a brother, father, and son, and is still building generational awareness for the sake of homeland.
The two-day conference which is held under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi cast a spotlight on the important role played by women in building cultural and religious awareness.
The conference also focuses on the women’s role in building the family and their role in promoting the values of coexistence and peacebuilding, he added.
