Wheat stock enough for nearly 5.7 months – supply minister

Egyptian Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Ali Moselhi said on Sunday the country’s strategic stock of wheat is sufficient for nearly 5.7 months.

At a press conference, the minister said sugar stockpiles are sufficient for 6.7 months, noting that the new sugar season will start in January.

Rice stock is sufficient for 3.3 months and the new season will start in mid September, he said.

Moselhi said strategic reserve of oil is sufficient for 6.2 months while the frozen meat stockpile is sufficient for six months.
