MAGLET METREL TRANSPORT SYSTEM
We are Habitech/Maglet S.A.S., an engineering company, focused on urban public transport systems.
Magnetic Levitation System (Metrel-Metropolitan Elevated) is a patent of our designed for local urban public transportation system, having special vehicles for each need, with Cabins for passengers, and specially designed containers for selected litter and light merchandise, packaged in middle size cardboard boxes. Cabins have capacity for 40 seated-belt passengers, 4 wheelchairs and 6 baby cars, you can bring on board your microtransit advice, electric skateboard, also.
Our Metrel Transport System is an excellent answer to solve one of the biggest problems of megacities; that of mobility, reducing accidents, fast commute from home to work; eliminating traffic jams, giving more quality of life to citizens therefore increasing time for family, to work, study, hobbies, instead of being in a slow public transport service, breathing polluted air, being pushed and stolen.
MAGLET METREL instead of what trains bring, it has no vibration, no noise, no pollution, 100% environment friendly, elevated exclusive lanes, suitable to “new normal” post-Covid 19, as for example, 2 meter social distance. Related to vehicles design, it seems more a plane than a bus.
Stations for passengers are designed in an updated style with commercial areas, for all kinds of personal services, amusement and fun for kids, adults and elderly people. Gyms and restaurants.
For, the passenger Stations design, we´ve considered the Transport Oriented Development (TOD)s which are highly concentrated mixed use developments, centered on a Passenger Station or other public transport node. They focus on walkability by offering retail, commercial, residential and civic space within a 10-minute walk to the Station, thereby discouraging car usage. It will bring economic growth; delivering jobs, transportation, social and environmental benefits; it will expand mobility choices and provide fast and direct connections between communities, employment hubs and key destinations. We kept in mind important First/Last/Mile considerations around children in school age and elderly people; also parcels or packages.
Per capita economic growth is driven increasingly by innovation, not by aggregate capital investment per se. Investment in transit infrastructure is essential to maintaining a high quality of life, a prosperous and competitive economic advantage, and a sustainable environment.
Our Maglet Metrel system´s vehicles run in two parallel levels, up “going” and low “coming back”. So, we´ve only one side for entrance and left passengers.
Our vehicles are designed with bodyshells of engineered carbon fibers, resins, and engineered composites. Characteristics added are tensile strength, length increase, duty impact resistance, permanent colors, and antiflame protection.
Maglet Metrel offers Urban commercial speed of 160 km/h. With passenger Stations every 3 km. It is a similar solution as Hyperloop, (proportions saved), but we have high speed in urban areas, exclusive lanes, and magnetic levitation to be used inside urban limits, no for intercity connections. Cabins for passengers are made of carbon fiber, resins, and engineered composites, same for containers for litter or cardboard boxes of merchandise, using aerospace technologies from Airbus, Lockheed Martin and Boeing.
It costs US 35 million/km, all items included. Construction period 30 months, generating 10,000 new jobs, for each 60 km length route, jobs that will last the construction period of 2.5 years.
We’ve prepared studies for Los Angeles LA28, US 10 billion with about 30,000 new jobs. Going from San Bernardino International Airport to Santa Monica along the San Bernardino Freeway and from Costa Mesa to Santa Clarita, along San Diego Freeway. Also, we have a Project for San Diego, US 3 billion, generating 10,000 jobs, transporting 1.5 Million passengers daily. Currently we are in conversations with a UAE’s investors group, to build a plant for production in Dubai or Abu Dhabi, with the target goal of exporting to markets such as Europe, Malaysia, India, Singapore, Pakistan, and SouthEast Asia, MENA, Gulf and Sub-Saharan countries. It is also possible to consider installing a factory in USA.
Magnet Levitation Systems and Carbon Fiber body shells have European and American partners. It is an innovative proposal that would be a low cost, real solution to urban public transport systems, giving a solution from now, to future generation’s problems in big cities worldwide; this is an optimal alternative ranging from 70,000 to 2 Million passenger/daily needs.
System updated to post-Covid 19 Era. It complies with WHO strict health protocols. Social distance inside passenger Cabins is 2 meters between users, cabins are conditioned to filter air every 5 minutes, collect payment is no contact needed with operators/machines and with the addition of checking thermal systems; clearly it is an automated (driverless) transportation system, operated with Artificial Intelligence protocols that will be welcomed by users.
