The Zakat and Charity House and the Tahya Misr (Long Live Egypt) Fund on Tuesday signed a protocol to undertake social protection programmes and sustainable development projects.
Zakat and Charity House executive director of Zakat and Dr Sahar Nasr and Long Live Egypt Fund executive director Tamer Abdel Fattah signed the protocol.
Grand Imam of Al-Azahr Sheikh Ahmed El Tayyeb and presidential advisor for financial affairs Gen. Mohamed Amin Nasr attended the signing ceremony.
By the terms of the protocol, Zakat and Charity House will contribute LE100 million to provide clothing and foods to those most in need in nationwide and develop the most impoverished villages.
Zakat and Charity House seeks to expand its partnership with different state bodies and civil associations in order to services to the largest number of entitled families in rural areas, Nasr said.
“Our partnership with Long Live Egypt Fund is part of efforts to provide comprehensive social protection programmes to alleviate poverty,” Nasr added.
Tamer Abdel Fattah lauded thepartnership, noting that it will help expand the fund’s social protection projects.
