TUNIS – Tunisian Minister of Cultural Affairs Hayet Guermazi has praised deeply-rooted historical cultural ties between her country and Egypt.
On the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the 37th Tunis International Book Fair, Guermazi told MENA on Saturday that Egypt is the cradle of human civilization and plays a pivotal role to serve the Arab nation.
The minister called for encouraging children and youths to practice reading, underlining the need to raise cultural awareness to counter terrorism and extremism.
