TUNIS – Tunisian Minister for Foreign Affairs Nabil Ammar asserted that his country rejected any threat to Egypt’s safety and would support any decisions that maintain its security and safety, adding that Tunisia respects the sovereignty of any country and would never intervene in its internal affairs.
In statements to MENA on the fringe of a meeting for foreign news agencies accredited to Tunisia, Ammar said that Tunisia is continuously contacting the Egyptian Foreign Ministry to solve the joint Arab issues in general and the Palestinian issue in particular especially in light of current developments.
He also asserted the depth of Egyptian-Tunisian relations at various fronts.
The diplomat also reiterated the need for uniting the Arab stances at all levels, noting that the Palestinian problem would be settled with a unity of all Arab ranks and his country’s stance has been permanent and supportive of the Palestinians’ rights.
As per the Egyptian-Tunisian ties, he said the political relations and consultations are coordinated and in full agreement, describing such relations as “very successful” at all levels.
