The Ministry of Health and Population has launched an initiative to treat 1,000 children from Gaza injured in the recent conflict.
The initiative, which is being carried out in co-operation with the Trust Misr Foundation and Nestlé Egypt, will provide the children with medical treatment and counselling at Egyptian hospitals and clinics.
The initiative is a part of Egypt’s commitment to humanitarian assistance to the people of Gaza and part of government efforts to promote peace and stability in the region, said Health Ministry Spokesman Hossam Abdel-Ghaffar.
The initiative comes in accordance with a co-operation protocol signed between the ministry and the Trust Misr Foundation for Development.
