CAIRO – Egypt’s Transport Minister Kamel El Wazeer has stressed that the trial operation of Tahya Misr multi-purposes terminal, established at Alexandria Port, has been successful since February.
The Transport Ministry said in a statement on Friday that El Wazeer toured the terminal to check on arrangements for the trial operation and follow up on the implementation progress of projects carried out there.
Since its trial operation, over 22,000 containers, coming from international navigation lines, were handled at the terminal.
Located on an area of 500,000 square meters, the terminal has a berths length of about 2.5 km.
